Fremont Acura TSX builds muscle with new V-6 engine

2010 marks the first year that the Acura TSX will offer a V6 engine. In fact, the Acura TSX V6 is almost a different car altogether than its 4-cylinder counterpart. The 2010 Acura TSX bring more than just a V6 option to the table, however.
The V6 version transforms the car to a performance feel, a car that growls a little and supports the aggressive exterior styling of the TSX. That said the four-cylinder offers its own advantages. The four offers what enthusiasts are looking for: a six-speed manual transmission. The four-cylinder also does a little better on fuel economy than the V6.
No matter which engine option revs you up the most, the 2010 Acura TSX you’ll find at area Fremont Acura dealers is an improved vehicle worth a serious look for anyone in the market for a new car. Starting with technology features and moving to luxury-level comfort, the TSX is a surprisingly-equipped model.
The TSX has always been distinct for its focus on tech features, and in the 2010 model year, Acura offers a navigation system that displays real-time traffic information with re-routing capability and local weather information. Bluetooth technology is perfectly integrated with the electronics in the vehicle, and a top-notch audio system offers more speaker clarity and oomph than any other competitor model in the TSX’s class.
Interior comfort amenities include leather upholstery, dual-zone automatic climate control, heated seats, eight-way adjustable driver’s seat with memory, four-way passenger seat, power seats, windows and locks, heated outside mirrors, steering wheel controls for cruise and audio, seven-speaker AM/FM/XM/6CD stereo, USB and auxiliary audio input jacks in the center console, moonroof, Bluetooth, HomeLink, trip computer, two power outlets – all standard on the 2010 Acura TSX. Also standard are Xenon headlamps and speed-sensitive wipers.
The V6 model adds minor drivetrain changes, 18-inch wheels and active sound control. A technology package is available on either the V6 or four cylinder. It includes a 10-speaker, surround-sound, 415-watt, AM/FM/XM tuner with multi-format, six-disc CD/DVD audio changer. The voice-controlled navigation system also includes a rearview camera, AcuraLink communications with real-time weather, traffic and dynamic re-routing.
The 2.4-liter four-cylinder 2010 Acura TSX starts at $29,310 and is available with the buyer’s choice of either the six-speed manual or five-speed automatic transmission at no additional cost. The V6 Fremont Acura TSX offering starts at $34,850 and is available with a five-speed automatic transmission only. The technology package adds about $3,000 to the cost for each model.
